A sad goodbye to my best FRIEND

We had to say goodbye to our best friend in the whole world, our beautiful  Papillon Tyler, on 12/13/2010

We miss him so much, he was more than a dog to us and he helped us through many hard times over the years. The house feels so empty without him. It was the hardest discussion we have ever had to make in our lives, but we knew it the right one.
He went into congestive heart failure, couldn't walk, eat , and struggled to breathe,   Too much for a Mommy to watch!!   I know he was a good age {13} but it doesn't make it any easier.

They bring so much joy to our lives, yes like one of the family!!
I placed a pic in my side bar as well, and there he will stay, as he will forever be in my heart!!!

  1. So sorry for your loss. We also have had to say goodbye to one of our 4 legged children. It is never easy, but like you we knew our decision was the right one. In time, I hope you will be able to open your heart and home to a new baby.

  2. It is truly a heart wrenching ordeal to lose a beloved member of the family. We too lost our beloved Sheltie A.J. to congestive heart failure. It is devastating. As they love us we too love them. I hope the pain of your loss goes quickly through the wonderful memories of Tyler.

    Hugs of compassion and comfort,

  7. E-hugs from me too. Dogs are the closest thing to God's unconditional love in this world (in my opinion). They humble us, adore us, keep us company, and know when to be near and when to give us our space. Our Maisie (a white Pomeranian) is 11 and we can already see her health hitting a downward spiral. It is heart wrenching!
It is hard to think of ever allowing myself to go though this again, but then the thought of our home without one of these beyond human companions is unthinkable as well. What can I say? I empathize. God bless you as you mourn.

  10. I am so sorry for your loss... Sending you a hug from Kentucky. I know how you feel too, I miss my Mandy. Dogs unconditional love, is so special, they adore us,and keep us company. I now have a Shiz Tzu that I rescued, but she rescues me everyday. I hope you will heal with maybe a rescued baby.

  11. Lori, I'm so sorry to read about your dog, our pets become one of our kids don't they? You had asked about a layering techinique on my blog and I couldn't find a way to email you. Here is the link: http://debbiesdesignsblog.blogspot.com/2010/10/decorative-label-layering-tutorial.html
